DFC Arms was started on accident in 2017. Our family is involved in competition shooting, with one of our younger daughters involved in multiple shooting sports and multiple firearms. She happened to see a ‘pretty gun’ all done up in Robin’s Egg Blue. So started the journey, parents willing to do whatever it took to keep their girl happy and in love with the shooting sports. Over the next year we immersed ourselves in learning the tools and equipment needed to make ‘CERAKOTE’ happen.

The family still shoots together, and we operate the business together as a family as well. Donavan and Michelle both served in the Army. Michelle as a Combat Medic and Donavan as a 82nd Airborne Paratrooper and also earned his Air Assault wings while conducting sling load operations with 25th ID in Hawaii.

Today, both Donavan and Michelle are Factory Certified Applicators from NIC Industries out in Oregon. They run the show day to day with some graphics and media support from the daughters Stefani and Paige. When we say we are Veteran Owned and Family Operated, we mean it.

Fast forward to now, we are a Factory Certified Cerakote shop as well as Certified Laser engravers from San Antonio Laser Engraving. We even do our own vinyl stencils and decals in-house here in Georgetown, KY.
